Almost everyone in Landsberg knows the black panther in the Inselbad.
The bronze sculpture stands by the main pool and is abused as a practical storage place for towels and swimming costumes.
How does such a work of art end up in a municipal open-air swimming pool?
What is it about the rumour that it has something to do with Hermann Göring?
A detective story? Perhaps. An exciting encounter with history in everyday life.
LEONARD BERNSTEIN AND THE DP ORCHESTRA
In May 1948, the composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein arrives in Germany. At his own request, he insists on giving a concert in the DP camps in Landsberg and Feldafing.
It becomes a moving event.
70 years later, on 10 May 2018, authors, filmmakers, musicians, composers, family members of musicians from the USA, Europe and Israel travel to Landsberg again and experience incredible things.
In 2014, Wolfgang Hauck founded the cultural and art association dieKunstBauStelle e. V. in Landsberg am Lech.
With this organization, he realizes various projects: Exhibitions, music, performance and theatre. The theme of history is always at the center: artistic, documentary, and participatory.
